"I finished primary school in 1999 and high school in 2006. In this year I start go to primary school and I going to finish this school in 2009. On finish this school I should pass the very important exam. On this exam I must have a crack at exam from polish, mathematic, foreign language and any subject. If I pass this exam i will can go on University. My school isn't paid because this is public school. I must buy only books. We learn in classrooms with friendly or unfriendly teachers. Usually in class are 30 students. Sometimes are more boys or more girls, but classes are mixed. In Poland in one school-year we have 2 terms but the most important marks(oceny) are on finish of second term."
"In Poland schoolyear starts in 1st of September and ends in 25th of June. In due course of schoolyear we have much of breaks and we have winter holiday (it worths only 14 days!) In Poland schools are obligated and free of expense. Lessons in Poland are short besides for example England where lessons worths about 6, 7 hours with one big break. In 2008 there were leaded an uniforms to our schools and wearing them is obligated! That's gruesome!"
"Generally, children begin school at the age of six. After one year spent in nursery, school they move to primary school, where they stay until the age of thirteen. Next, they go to junior high school to stay there until the age of fifteen. After that, they follow their education in grammar, technical or vocational schools. When they pass the school leaving exam, they can go to university for five years. After three years of studying they receive a Bachelor's Degree and two years later they are able to get a Master's Degree. The most prestigious universities in Poland are the University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University.
As far as education in Poland is concerned, it is often criticised because of the insufficient system of teaching. Polish children learn a lot of theory, but they are not taught how to put what they have learnt into practice. However, a new educational system is supposed to change it even if teachers are not suitably qualified to face the task which is a real challenge for both them and pupils."
